Ring pessary (thick)

Proven in the treatment of descensus uteri and prolapse vaginae and associated urinary incontinence.

If the holding apparatus of the uterus (uterine) and the pelvic floor muscles are too weak to hold the uterus in position, uterine prolapse occurs. The cause of descent is weakness of the pelvic floor, for example, due to births of very heavy children or multiple births. The uterus and the other organs of the small pelvis are no longer held in the correct position.

The lowering of the uterus is additionally often accompanied by urinary incontinence. With conservative (non-surgical) treatment methods, good treatment success can be achieved in cases of mild prolapse or minor incontinence. For decades, ring pessaries have proven successful in the treatment of descensus uteri or prolapse vaginae and associated urinary incontinence.

The larger cross-section of the ring part increases the contact surface and reduces the risk of pressure necrosis. Ring pessaries from medesign are available in various standard sizes to ensure the highest possible wearing comfort for every patient.

The medesign ring pessary fitting set allows the pessary size to be adjusted in the doctor's office and contains the sizes 65, 70, 75 and 80 mm.
