Cramer pessary

For the treatment of stress incontinence and discomfort caused by a lowering of the vagina, uterus and bladder.

If the entire pelvic floor is weakened (e.g. due to heavy births) or if there is a congenital weakness of the connective tissue and the pelvic floor muscles, or if the patient is overweight, this can lead to a lowering of the pelvic organs (bladder, uterus, vagina and rectum). The consequences are a feeling of pressure and foreign bodies, as well as pulling in the lower abdomen and in the sacral region. Bladder and defecation disorders are often unpleasant side effects.

medesign Cramer-Pessare are used to treat stress incontinence (involuntary leakage of urine) and complaints caused by a lowering of the vagina, uterus and bladder. This subsidence can be caused, for example, by a congenital weakness of the connective tissue, by hormonal deficiency after menopause, or by pregnancy and childbirth. With the help of pessary treatment - supported by pelvic floor training and, if necessary, creams containing estrogen - it is often possible to permanently improve the symptoms.

The two thickenings at the upper edge of the pessary shift the transition between the bladder and the urethra upward, thus preventing involuntary leakage of urine during strains such as coughing or movement. A prerequisite for wearing a Cramer pessary is that you have not yet undergone vaginal surgery with vaginal tightening. In addition, your pelvic floor must still have at least limited load-bearing capacity.
