Product information

For the treatment of large prolapses. Prevents canting and slipping out due to its stem.

Pelvic floor descent or prolapse occurs when organs leave their traditional place. Normally, the uterus and vagina are attached to the bony pelvis by ligament-like connective tissue structures and also by a strong sheath around the vaginal wall. When the pelvic floor muscles weaken, these connective tissue structures give way, causing the vagina to sink downward. The urinary bladder and recumbent rectum can be affected. Almost one in three women over the age of 45 suffers from a more or less pronounced form of such genital prolapse. A conventional treatment method with pessaries selected by the physician can remedy many of the symptoms that occur.

The medesign Club Pessary pessary made of a special medical silicone was developed for the treatment of large prolapses and has been used successfully for years. It gives greater support due to its stem, which prevents the ring from tilting and slipping out.

After about three weeks, a smaller club pessary should be inserted, as shrinkage of the lower vaginal tissue occurs relatively quickly. Often, after several weeks have passed, the pessary can be replaced with a cube. Handling the club pessary for insertion and removal is more difficult than with all other pessaries.

Instructions for use:
When inserting at an oblique diameter, grasp the ring, which has been coated with Ladysoft as a lubricant, with the right hand and gently push it backwards down into the vagina, following the least resistance, while protecting the sensitive urethral bulge. If the ring has slipped past the urethra, turn it to the frontal position and push it up as far as possible. The end of the club is often still just visible.
To remove it, which is usually even more difficult, proceed as follows: Wet the vaginal area and the edge of the club pessary well with Ladysoft lubricant. Then pull on the handle of the club in the vaginal axis until it stops on the symphysis. This often causes a finger-thick bulge to form as an obstruction from the flaccid and prolapsed anterior vaginal wall. With the free hand, the bead is pushed long at around the outer edge of the pessary.
