Description
The emergency blanket is an extremely thin, tear-resistant, waterproof and heat-reflective film.
It is suitable for both heat and cold protection in traffic, industrial, skiing, or mountain accidents. In Germany, it is a mandatory component of first-aid kits in motor vehicles. The metallized PET film is used in first aid to protect injured persons from hypothermia, wetness, or wind.
For the emergency blanket to function properly, it must not lie directly on the skin. Clothing or a loose placement is necessary to maintain an air cushion that ensures good insulation.
