Butter molds can also be used to present butter attractively. This is by no means a modern invention, but was already practiced before industrialization.

A butter mold, or butter form, is originally a wooden mold, often richly decorated and hand-carved, which helps to give the butter a compact and aesthetically pleasing shape after it has been made.

This tradition fell into increasing obscurity during the 20th century, but has enjoyed a resurgence in popularity in recent years. Businesses, restaurants, and catering companies are increasingly decorating their butter using butter molds to make it more attractively presented.

We've decided to fully bring the tradition of the butter mold into the 21st century. Our molds are based on historical or handcrafted wooden models and are made by hand from high-quality, food-grade silicone. This has the advantage that our molds are flexible, unlike the rigidity of wood. They are also easier to clean and won't develop unsightly discoloration over time.
