Description

To increase dam elasticity in order to prevent a possible dam breach.

During the final stage of labor, the expectant mother may experience a perineal tear or have an episiotomy performed as a precaution. Unfortunately, this can cause temporary consequences such as slow wound healing, infections, urinary incontinence, or pain during intercourse, but also possible long-term consequences (z.B. Prolapse, incontinence) are possible consequences.

Further information

There are two possible approaches to optimally prepare the perineal muscles and tissue for childbirth, and thus reduce the likelihood of an episiotomy:

1. Regular training that stretches the pelvic ligaments and trains and relaxes the pelvic floor muscles. This can include specific exercises (z.B. While yoga for pregnant women isn't strictly necessary, simple movements like regular squatting already strengthen the pelvic floor. Your prenatal exercise instructor, gynecologist, or midwife can recommend suitable exercises. For optimal preparation, regular pelvic floor exercises are more important than the intensity of the workout.

2. Regular massage of the perineal area with special oils ensures that the perineal muscles become softer and more elastic, thereby improving their ability to contract. The vagina remains firm and tight, but gains in elasticity. This allows the vagina to adapt better during childbirth, the baby can pass through the perineal area more easily, and the likelihood of a perineal tear or episiotomy is reduced.

For this reason medesign Pregöl It contains St. John's wort oil (strengthens the sensitive nerves of the pelvic floor), jojoba oil (nourishes the skin and makes it supple), wheat germ oil (rich in vitamin E, improves tissue elasticity), rose oil (has a strong antiseptic and antispasmodic effect) and clary sage oil (antiseptic effect).

medesign Pregöl It was specifically tailored to the needs of expectant mothers and thus enables a natural preparation of the external birth canal for the exceptional stresses during childbirth.

Application:
Apply a few drops of Pregöl to your fingertips, then insert two to three fingers about three centimeters into the vagina and massage the area between the posterior vaginal wall and anus with firm, circular movements (daily for about 5-10 minutes). Midwives and gynecologists recommend starting the massage about six weeks before the expected due date. Since the labia are often also subjected to considerable strain during childbirth, it is helpful to include them in the massage during the last week before the due date.

Of course, you can also use the medesign Pregöl during childbirth and, for example, have it massaged in by the midwife so that the heavily stressed perineal area is adequately cared for, the pelvic floor muscles relax, and any minor injuries are treated antiseptically.
