Ring pessary (thick)

Proven effective in the treatment of uterine prolapse and vaginal prolapse, as well as the associated urinary incontinence.

If the uterus's supporting structures and the pelvic floor muscles are too weak to hold the uterus in its position, a uterine prolapse occurs. This prolapse is caused by a weakness of the pelvic floor, for example, due to the birth of very large babies or multiple births. The uterus and the other organs of the pelvis are no longer held in the correct position.

Uterine prolapse is often accompanied by urinary incontinence. Conservative (non-surgical) treatment methods can achieve good results in cases of mild prolapse or slight incontinence. For decades, ring pessaries have proven effective in treating uterine prolapse or vaginal prolapse and the associated urinary incontinence.

The larger cross-section of the ring section increases the contact area and reduces the risk of pressure necrosis. Ring pessaries by medesign are available in various standard sizes, ensuring the highest possible wearing comfort for every patient.
