The cylindrical shape of the T-pessary repositions the bladder into the anatomically correct position.
Pelvic floor defects in women are often a combination of cystocele, enterocele, and rectocele. A cystocele occurs when the very thin wall between the bladder and vagina becomes too weak, and the bladder partially descends into the vagina. This makes complete bladder emptying impossible, and in most cases, stress incontinence is also present.
The T-pessary can be easily inserted by the woman and removed using the retrieval thread. The various sizes allow for a customized fit. The specially designed surface largely prevents pressure points on the mucous membrane. Especially during physical exertion—such as heavy work or sports—the T-pessary keeps the bladder and bowel in the anatomically correct position.
