To reinforce dam elasticity to prevent possible dam breakage.

During the last phase of childbirth, the expectant mother may experience a perineal tear or a precautionary perineal incision. Unfortunately, this can cause temporary consequences such as sluggish wound healing, infections, bladder weakness or pain during sexual intercourse, as well as possible late consequences (e.g. descent, incontinence).

More informationThere

are two possible starting points to optimally prepare the perineal muscles and tissues for childbirth, and thus reduce the likelihood of an episiotomy:

1. Regular exercise that stretches the pelvic ligaments and trains and relaxes the pelvic floor muscles. This can be special exercises (e.g. yoga for pregnant women), but simple movements, such as squatting regularly, already train the pelvic floor. Suitable exercises can be recommended by your pregnancy gymnast, gynecologist or midwife. For optimal preparation, the intensity of the exercise is less important than the regular training of the pelvic floor.

2. Regular massage of the perineal area with special oils ensures that the perineal muscles become softer and more elastic, giving them a better ability to contract. The vagina remains tight and firm, but gains stretching ability. This allows the vagina to conform better during delivery, allows the baby to slide through the perineal area more easily, and reduces the likelihood of perineal tears or incisions.

For this reason, medesign's Pregöl was developed. It contains St. John's wort oil (strengthens the sensitive nerves of the pelvic floor), jojoba oil (nourishes the skin and makes it supple), wheat germ oil (rich in vitamin E, improves tissue elasticity), rose oil (has a strong antiseptic and antispasmodic effect) and clary sage oil (antiseptic effect).

medesign Pregöl has been specially adapted to the needs of expectant mothers and thus enables you to naturally prepare the external birth canal for the extraordinary stresses during childbirth.

Application:
Put a few drops of Pregöl on your fingertips, then go about three centimeters into the vagina with two to three fingers and massage the area between the posterior vaginal wall and the anus with strong, circular movements (approx. 5-10min. daily). Midwives and gynecologists recommend starting the massage about 6 weeks before the calculated due date. Since the labia are often also subjected to a lot of stress during childbirth, it is helpful to include them in the massage during the last week before the expected date of birth.

Of course, you can also use medesign's Pregöl during the birth and have it massaged in by the midwife, for example, so that the heavily stressed perineal area is sufficiently cared for, the pelvic floor muscles relax and any minor injuries are treated antiseptically.
