Description
The waxo Therm heat pack is used for heat therapy in subacute and chronic rheumatic diseases of the musculoskeletal system and in degenerative joint and spinal imbalances (muscular and joint rheumatism, intervertebral disc damage).

The heat-retaining powder takes on a paste-like consistency upon heating, conforms precisely to the body's shape, and thus releases even heat deep into the underlying muscle and tissue.

Heat the waxo Therm heat pack to 70-75 °C.
Warming cabinet:
Heating time approximately 2 hours.
If the cupboard is fully occupied and the heating pad has completely cooled down, the heating time may be extended by approximately 1 hour.
Microwave:
Heating time approx. 30 minutes at 270 watts (This information refers to a device with 900 watts max. power.)
Please ensure that the grill is switched off and that the heat pad does not come into contact with metallic objects.

Oven:
Heating time 2 hours in convection mode at a heating temperature of 70-75 °C.
To ensure that the heating pad heats up as evenly as possible, it should be placed individually on a rack or perforated sheet.
After removing the heating pad from the warmer, allow it to cool for approximately 5 minutes. Depending on the patient's sensitivity to heat, wrap the heating pad in a suitable terry cloth cover. For patients who prefer very hot temperatures, the heating pad can be applied without a terry cloth cover or an intermediate sheet – however, not until at least 7-10 minutes after removal from the warmer, when the temperature is around 45°C.
The heat treatment should not exceed 25-30 minutes.
