Due to the evolution of the upright gait, the human pelvic floor is exposed to the effects of gravity. The pelvic floor of women is particularly affected by this. That is why genital prolapse is one of the most common conditions in gynecology.

The probability of suffering from so-called genital descensus increases with increasing age. Factors such as deficiency of female hormones, obesity, heavy physical work, eating habits or genetic tissue weakness increase the risk.

Conservative treatment of genital prolapse, which is performed on an outpatient basis, includes hormone therapy, pelvic floor exercises, stimulation current and the use of pessaries. To date, cube pessaries are unsurpassed, especially in self-treatment. Due to their good adhesion and very easy application, cube pessaries can be used for most forms of genital prolapse.
